Experts' Opinion
Prof. Dr. P K Rajiv:
The failure of conventional Neuro Development Therapies (NDT) in the management of moderately to severe forms of birth asphyxia prompted me to assess acupuncture (ACU) and electrohomeopathy (EH) objectively. The impressive outcomes of the brain damaged infants, especially those recruited early within 3-6 months were very impressive at 2 years when compared to conventional NDT. This prompted a controlled study having two limbs with homogenised enrolment at 3 months, to NDT or ACU + EH. Studies on similar lines below one year are not present, but one impressive study from China in collaboration with University of Arizona USA, as an add on to NDT evidenced good outcomes. I am extremely confident that ACU + EH is a superior therapy to NDT based on these study outcomes and my own observations of birth asphyxia for the last 6 years. My colleagues, Paediatricians, and neurologists, initially sceptical, have revised their patients by seeing the superlative results in those failing NDT. I strongly recommend ACU + EH in all babies with moderate birth asphyxia early by 3 months. The severely affected babies in my series also did reasonably well, especially the brain stem dysfunction. This was not possible in NDT. ACU + EH apparently stimulates the damaged areas of the brain during the plasticity period upto 2 years.

Dr. Falguni R. Acharya
We visited the Jivadhara Institute and Dr. Sr. Mary Eassy for the first time for three weeks in November 2012 with our 9 year old daughter who has mild cerebral palsy, and completed the first course of her treatment. We became intrigued by Jivadhara’s treatment after speaking with Dr. Mary and seeing her reported results. When we visited the center and met other patients and families, it became even more clear that Dr. Eassy’s work at Jivadhara is producing real and permanent changes in the lives of her patients and their families. In our experience of practicing medicine for more than 12 years, and in last 9 years parenting our special need daughter, we feel that the benefits and cures that are happening at Jivadhara are not reproducible with other conventional allopathic treatments for Cerebral Palsy and Mental Retardation. Dr. Sr. Mary Eassy and all of the staff at Jivadhara are extremely compassionate and dedicated. They care deeply for their patients and work very hard for the best possible outcomes. We do not have enough words to express our gratitude for her care and compassion. All of the families we met were very happy with the results they were experiencing even after few courses of the Acupuncture and Electro Homeopathy treatment. We look forward to continuing treatment for our daughter with Dr. Eassy and have a newly increased hope for her brighter future. We would highly recommend for any other family of a child with developmental delays, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, to go to Jivadhara Institute and try this unique treatment approach.
